In today’s world it is hard to keep up with all of the educational trends online. It is hard for parents to sift through the internet and understand what is backed by research and what is not. At Discoverfull, our team, including experts in child development, developed a program to help parents easily identify research backed strategies that will best support their child’s development. The Discovery Box program includes a monthly Discovery Box that contains developmentally appropriate toys with accompanying videos that model the evidence-based strategies that are meant to facilitate positive interactions with children. We provide these boxes free of charge for parents from low-income backgrounds. Our boxes are filled with specially curated developmentally appropriate toys meant to facilitate interactions that will support development during each stage of your child’s life. Each month, parents will receive a text message with a link to a short video that models the interactions that should take place with the developmental toys that will be provided each month. The boxes will also include Discovery cards that review how the interactions should take place and why they are important for a child’s development.
